Updates and Homework for 11/14:

All Students:
GMHS MiniLinks Challenge! Saturday, November 15th at the GMHS Gym. Tee Times: 10:30 AM, 12 Noon, 1:30PM, 3PM
Information about the tournament:
You will be competing against other teams from the Middle and High School. Prizes will be given to the winning team. Each member of your team will need to raise at least $25 from sponsors in order to play. The idea is to get several small donations to make up the $25. Please collect your donations ahead of time and bring them to the tournament. The top three individual fundraisers for the tournament will be awarded prizes. Please call or email Beth Willis at 978-352-5953 or bethwillis@verizon.net to register. When registering, you will need to pick a tee time for your team: 10:30AM, 12 Noon, 1:30PM, 3PM.
There are also prizes for the team showing the most Georgetown Spirit!

Grade 8:

Mrs. Bailey: Over the weekend students should keep in mind the long term assignments in my class. Book reports and persuasive essays should not be kept until the last minute.

Updates and Homework for 11/13:

All Students:
Mini Golf Tournament at GMHS this Saturday from 9-3 pm. Grab a form at the main office or stop by on Saturday to compete in this fun 18 hole mini-golf tournament. Cost is $25.00 and will go to the Georgetown PTA. Don’t miss out of this challenge! See you all there!!

Boy’s Varsity Soccer Team competes in the 3rd round of states today at 5:00pm against St. Mary’s. Come support the boy’s soccer team! Good Luck Boys!!

Tomorrow is Blue and White Day! Wear as much blue and white as you can to support the Georgetown Varsity Football team in their game against Newburyport on Friday night in Newburyport. Let’s keep our winning season going-Go Royals!!!

Updates and Homework for 11/12:

All Students:
Middle School Mini Golf Tournament: the Georgetown PTA is sponsoring an indoor Mini Golf tournament on Saturday,November 15th at the GMHS. The tournament begins at 9:00 a.m. for all Georgetown Middle High School students. To participate in the tournament please contact Kathy Boyd (kboyd12@comcast.net) or Beth Willis (bethwillis@verizon.net). We will be opening up the golf course to the public 4:30 to 6:30. A concession stand will be open to purchase hot dogs, beverages and candy. We are looking for donations of packaged snacks (chips, popcorn, cookies candy) & soda & bottled water. Any donations can be dropped off at the gym on Saturday morning.

Mrs. Bailey: All classes will be reviewing 20 flashcards from lessons 7&8 in Spelling/vocabulary for the two lesson test on Friday. All the exercises for lesson 8 will also be corrected tomorrow. This is a long term assignment…no excuses for missing homework!!!!!! Classes are also doing research for their persuasive essays which are due on Tuesday, Nov. 25th. Don’t forget the monthly book report which is in the genre of science fiction and due December 1st!!!!! Students have been given many choices for the format of their individual reports. Ask you student to show you the option he/she chose!!!!!!!

Mongeau: Read Chapter 10 Section 2 and fill out the outline given/due tomorrow

Grade 7:
Mrs. Morrison: A block – finish grammar packet; B block – rewrite paragraph using the 3 questions on your checklist; E and F – Study for key concepts test on Fri.

Mrs. Husak: A – gradesheet questions filled out and go over with parent and then have parent sign your grade sheet for term 1(math grade on front side, goals and reflections on back side) if this is not turned in students will be given another detention for Friday afternoon as they have already had Monday and Tuesday nights to do this one paper. Students in all classes should study for the photosynthesis quiz tomorrow. They have a study guide, a photosynthesis packet, and multiple papers to study from. This text has limited information, which is why the packet was handed out. Any written homework that is assigned tomorrow will be due on Monday, November 17th.

Grade 6:

Grade 7:
Mrs. Hickey’s classes: F block got back 1 or 2 papers about photosynthesis. They do not have grades on them. Students have been given the opportunity to correct their mistakes. All Classes: There will be a quiz on photosynthesis on Thursday. I told the students about it last week, and originally had it planned for Wednesday. I changed it to Thursday as the students have a Social Studies quiz on Wednesday. We have already discussed what the quiz will cover and what to study, but students will receive a study guide on Wednesday. They already have a special packet to study from, as the Environmental Science book does not cover photosynthesis in depth. Also, students will have their reports returned to them today or Wednesday. The grade for the report went towards their quarter 1 grade in Science.

Schauerman: SCIENCE - There will be a quiz on photosynthesis on Wednesday. Please study for the quiz, using your Study Guide & reading packet; MATH - Practice 3-8 Worksheet # 1 - 16.

Ms. DiFruscio: STUDY FOR EGYPT TEST THIS WEEK.
