Updates and Homework for 9/19:

All Grades:
1. MONDAY IS PICTURE DAY! Middle school students will be called down by grade beginning at about 7:45.

2. The first middle school DANCE will be Friday, October 3rd from 6:30-9pm in the Cafeteria. ONLY Georgetown Middle School students may attend; next week your homeroom teachers will be handing out copies of the Georgetown Middle School Dance Contract. You must, along with a parent or guardian, sign this in order to attend middle school dances during the year!!

3. Mrs. Fulton’s middle school classes have been reviewing food and lab safety procedures, and measuring skills. We should begin cooking next week!

4. Mum orders can be picked up tomorrow (Sat. 9/20) morning on the front steps of GMHS. Candle orders are due Friday 9/26. People interested in after-school instrumental lessons (including guitar) at school should contact Mr. Kaminski (x623; kaminski@georgetown.k12.ma.us).

All Students:
From Mrs. LaFlamme: All MUM orders from Music Students are due tomorrow, Wed. Sept. 16.
Please be sure you bring in orders and checks and give to Mrs. Laflamme or Mr. Kaminski. Plants will be delivered on Sat. AM between 9 and 11.

Grade 8:
Mrs. Mongeau: Read and highlight the packet given on “Accomplishments of Julius Caesar” Be sure to focus on the six accomplishments mentioned.

Mrs. Rydbeck: A Block- Worksheet Written Exercises # 56-67. Remember Quiz II tomorrow; D Block- Write your name in Chinese several times until you can write it correctly; E Block- Worksheet Cumulative review: Do it all, both sides. Remember Quiz II Thursday; F and G Blocks- Give an example of positive, negative, and no correlation in real life.

Gr 8 Math Mrs Reed: pg. 84 #1 – 16 all, #18 – 32 all, #39, 40 If you need more practice, do some of the odd problems and check your answers in the back of the book.

Grade 7:
GRADE 7 PARENT SPEAKER CAREER FAIR IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS. Please ask your 7th grader to see the handout sent home Friday about this! ***We are looking for approximately 15-18 parents/family members to speakers in this event & a few parents to help out with the “hospitality suite”. This event is planned for WED. OCT. 1ST and will run from 8- 10 am. Please email Ms. DiFruscio if you have any questions!

Updates and Homework for 9/15:

All Students:
Thank you for your attention and excellent behavior during this morning's assembly regarding melanoma and skin cancer. The director of the foundation as well as Mrs. Pedroia commented on your interest, respectful attentiveness, and excellent questions!

Also, the Book rental program is up and running. If you are interested in renting a 2nd textbook to leave at home, the cost is $15/year for each book. Email or see Mr. Bruno for the forms if you are interested.

Grade 8:
Mrs. Mongeau: Read pages 160-165 and complete the guided reading worksheet/due tomorrow

Mrs. Reed: Reteach 2-5 all and Practice 2-5 #7 – 22
