Georgetown Middle High School is producing Bye Bye Birdie on Feb. 5, 6, and 7th at the GMHS auditorium, at 7 p.m. The snow date performance is Sunday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. This hilarious comedy features students in grades 6-12 in the cast and crew. Tickets ARE ON SALE NOW during middle and high school lunches (about 10:15-11:30 and 12:15-1) and in the lobby from 2:15-3:15, each day until Wednesday, Feb. 4. It is highly recommended to purchase tickets ahead of time, as the play may very well sell out. Seats will be assigned.

I gave each student that did NOT have his/her project a letter to be signed by parent/guardian. Ask your student if he/she handed in the project—if he/she did no homework! Students were told this information on Monday the first day of Term 3.
Mrs. Hickey- All classes: There is no homework tonight, as long as students have completed the “My Day as a Hydra” assignment that we worked on in class yesterday ( and in come classes, today). Just a reminder- Students who returned the parent note sent home last week ( with the last quiz and lab attached) received extra credit if they were interested. That is due January 29th.
Ms. DiFruscio: A block only- do Venn Diagram of Sparta vs Athens using facts from Chapter 4 Section 2. We had a vocabulary quiz today. Those students who did not earn at least a 75% should restudy these terms over the weekend as they will be on the quiz on the sections next week, and help form the basis of our study of Ancient Greece. Please note: I have changed the chapter 4 sections 1 & 2 quiz to next Wed. to accommodate other assignments early in the week.

All Students:
The Lost and Found boxes are overflowing with jackets, sweatshirts, shorts, shirts, etc. Please check Lost and Found and retrieve any lost items otherwise, they will be donated to Goodwill or the Salvation Army during February vacation.
Beginning in January, Massachusetts-mandated Health Screenings will take place for all students in Grades 6 – 12. Screenings include vision, hearing, height and weight. These screenings are not diagnostic but are designed to identify students who may need further evaluation. Parents/Guardians will only receive notification if further testing is needed. Parents/Guardians may waive any of their child’s school health screenings if they have documentation of screenings by their Primary Care Provider within the past year. Please contact Mary Beth Doherty, School Nurse, with any questions or concerns at 978-352-5790 ext. 520.
Announcement from the PTA: Dear Parents and Students, We'd like to celebrate our line-up of teachers and school staff on Thursday, January 29 with a Super Bowl Luncheon for our Super Staff! We are looking for donations of crocks of soup, salads, breads/crackers, desserts and beverages. Please contact Heather Hartford at heatherh33@comcast.net if you are able to assist us with donations.

Mrs. Reed: Please return signed Expectations and Procedures (last page only) by Friday. For my class you will need the following items: 1) a 1 inch binder to leave in the classroom for Picture Dictionaries. 2) a spiral notebook or looseleaf paper for using in class for classwork. 3) a pencil to work with – NO PENS! Frequently we will use colored markers or pencils and tape. I will let you know when we need these.
Mrs. Harrington: Science Homework - Due Tuesday— please bring in your “Inside Earth” textbook. The new textbook, Earth’s Changing Surface,” will be handed out some time during the week.
