Your current assignment is the cover of your portfolio. This cover will be your own creation using pictures that you have cut out of an old magazine, internet pictures, or photos you may have that express what science is to you.

Step one: bring in a favorite magazine, cut outs from a magazine, internet copies, or photos that you want to put on your collage (Friday’s homework).

Step two: glue your pictures, in a collage layout, onto plain white 8 1/2X 11 paper. Be sure there is no white paper showing through after you have glued your pictures. In a collage, you are to cover the whole paper--overlapping your pictures.

Step three: On a separate piece of paper, handwrite, color, or copy from a computer, the phrase: Science is… Glue ”Science is…”over the collage anywhere you’d like. The phrase should be legible but not too large.

Have fun!!
