Schauerman: SCIENCE - A & F - Study for cell quiz. A -block - Please have parent sign your lab report! Since we did not meet today, you will have a short quiz at the beginning of E-block on Monday.

Grade 6:
Mrs. White: Read 20 minutes and record in log; A block Strategy Sheet due 12/22; C block Strategy 3 due 12/22; D block Strategy 2 due 12/22.

Mrs. Harrington: Science Homework: Due: Monday—Study for Tuesday’s mini quiz. Please use your notes--page #37. If you forgot your notes, please review your textbook chapter 2. There is a study guide in your book on page 83. Focus on sections one and two vocabulary and key concepts in those sections.
Final: Inside Earth Project Due date: January 12, 2009
The project is slated to begin next week (Dec. 22), and will continue to be completed in both the classrooms and as homework through-out the week of Jan. 5-Jan. 12. You will not be required to do any homework during the holiday vacation but, as always, I encourage you to take an active role in your learning so you may want to complete some of the research questions as well as locating the materials you will need to make your model. You will be responsible to complete a booklet as well as a model.
There will be an integrated subject showcase following the final project due date sometime after the 12th.

Mrs. Lamoly: If you didn't take the Vocab 22 test with Mrs. Lamoly on Friday, you will take it Monday.

Mrs. Girard: E, G Blocks: STUDY for test tomorrow---chapter 4!
To study for tomorrow;s test students can use the websites:
http://www.conjuguemos.com/ and could practice the vocabulary by book (our book is paso a paso a-chapter 4) or practice conjugating REGULAR –ar and –er verbs in the present tense.
http://www.pasoapaso.com/ which is the books website. There is a self test on the webpage with instant feedback. We did it yesterday in class but it wouldn’t hurt to do it again as there are a couple of tests generated so he may not get the same one.
http://www.quia.com/ click on quiaweb then click on Spanish. Put in –ar –er verbs present tense and a bunch of activities come up.
F Block-Split sheet for vocabulary Section 1 chapter 5 (pages 190-191) Students had ten minutes left in class after our chapter test and most at least began the assignment, some finished already!

Mrs. Hickey’s classes: The students were given an assignment yesterday that is due tomorrow, Friday, December 19th. It is a diagram of an animal cell that they are supposed to label and color according to the directions. Also, the rest of my A block students who took that last quiz got it back today. The quiz is to be signed and returned.

Mrs. Husak: A-page 184 # 1-8 all, # 15-18 all and study for chapter 4 test tomorrow – review pages for extra 5 points on test; B-study for ch 4 test tomorrow – don’t forget you can complete the review pages on 227-229 evens or odd problems for 5 extra points on the test; E see B; F- page 202 # 14-24 evens- pop quiz today.

Grade 7:
Mrs. Hickey’s classes: Most students got back their last quiz- the one on biogeography and succession. Students also got back their seed dispersal lab. Both of these assignments are to be signed and returned by tomorrow if they have not been returned by now. Most of my A block students have not received their quiz back. These will come back to them tomorrow.
FOR ALL CLASSES: Students have a cell diagram to label and color. These are due Friday.

You will need to tell me what your project idea will be by this Thursday so I can make copies of the packet you want to work on.
The project is slated to begin next week (Dec. 22), and will continue to be completed in both the classrooms and as homework through-out the week of Jan. 5-Jan. 12. Mrs. Lyon: The 6th grade students in Computers are learning to use email. As part of the lesson they are also learning how to be safe online. An important aspect of being safe on line is identifying a trusted adult that students can share concerns or ask questions. Computer6 students have selected 3 trusted adults; one from home, one from school, and one other. An adult is someone over twenty-one. If your student is in Computers their home work assignment is to deliver their “Trusted Adult” thank you cards.
