Updates and Homework for 10/8:

All Students:
Mrs. Fulton’s 7th & 8th grade Foods Classes should be reviewing for a “Recipe Math” quiz during their next rotation.

Grade 8:
Mrs. Mongeau: Due tomorrow ~ Final Draft, Rough Draft, Research, Rubric

Mrs. Reed: pg121 #4 – 48 even

Mrs. Rydbeck: A Block- NO homework; E Block- Worksheet 1.1 Exerciese # 10-18; F Block- Pratice 3-3mixed # 10-15 and # 26-28; G Block- Practice 3-3 example # 1-21.

Mrs. Bailey: All classes are required to have lesson 4 vocabulary exercises completed for correction and review tomorrow, Thursday. F block also has to write 10 original sentences clearly stating the definition of the word within the sentence.

Grade 7:
Mrs. Hickey’s Classes: Blocks E and F classes have a worksheet called Analyzing Interactions among Organisms. It was assigned yesterday and is due tomorrow. There are 5 questions on this paper. ALL CLASSES: Students received an outline for a short report in Science that is due on October 24th. We will be doing research in the library for two days. The students get 5 bonus points if parents sign the outline and return it by October 14th (next Tuesday). As the outline indicates, there should be no other written homework issued in my Science classes between tomorrow and the 24th. As long as students are on task and working in class, they should not be coming home with any additional work. Thanks.

Mrs. Hibbs & Mrs. Kowalski C block classes: Map B- Thursday

Ms. DiFruscio: Study for Map quiz: A&B blocks; ALL BLOCKS DUE TOMORROW: C1S23 Writing Assignment # 2- page 33 Question 20
****Study Guides for Next week’s test went home today (test is Wed & Thursday)
****Reminder: Extra credit list was handed out approx. 3 weeks ago (on back of text. assignment list). These may be passed in no later than Mon. Oct 20th. This means that all students have at least 2 opportunities to earn 2 extra credit A’s towards their term 1 grade, and at the same time enhance their learning about Mesopotamia. A third opportunity for extra credit is the Middle East countries & capitals quick quiz. Students may take this at lunch or after school – a word bank for both countries and capitals is provided, students simply need to match them up correctly.

Mrs. Morrison: A and B – all voc. exercisers and flashcards are due; E and F – p. 33 question 20 is due tomorrow – Study guides were passed out today for the test next week.

Mrs. Schauerman: SCIENCE - Adaptation worksheet, both sides; MATH: B-block - Page 94 - 95 # 1 -35 odd & #50; E-block - Page 94 #1-10.

Mrs. Husak: A – page 94-95 # 2-48 even; B & E – worksheet 2-4; F- worksheet 54/56.

Mrs. Weldon: All ELA Classes: Vocabulary Lesson 4: Exercises and Sentences, Rough Draft, Character Analysis.

Grade 6:
Mrs. Lamoly: 1. pp. 17-18 Write the Derivative and Find the Example; 2. Write a paragraph about talent-do you think you're born with it, have to work hard for it, or both?

Mrs. Harrington: Due Thursday--Complete the worksheet, “Which Cat Food?” Due Next Tuesday (10/14)—Complete part B (questions 5-8) of your “What is Science” study guide. Due next Wednesday (10/15)—Test on unit one—“What is Science.”


Mrs. White: Read 20 minutes; Work on paragraphs; D Block paragraphs due 10/9; Book orders due 10/17.

Mrs. Carminito: A Block: complete power practice #2 worksheet; D Block: finish crossword; E Block: complete packet; F Block: page 165 #1-24; G Block: same as F Block; All classes quiz on Wednesday.

Mr. Pitella: Bring in newspaper/trash bags. Every class except for A: complete oil packet. Test will be October 16th: STUDY.
