Updates and Homework for 10/21:

All grades:
The bi-annual Georgetown Music Parents Auction is being held this year on Friday November 7, 6-11 PM at the Georgetown Club. Please come and support our active music program. There will be a silent and a live auction. If you would like to donate items to be auctioned or you have any questions about the aucition, please contact the Georgetown Music Parents at themusicauction@yahoo.com.

Acappella Club will begin next Monday, Oct. 27 from 6:15-7:45 in the auditorium. This club is open to Grade 8-12. See Mrs. Laflamme if you plan on attending.

Grade 8:
Mrs. Mongeau: Read pages 263-265 answer the question work sheet/due tomorrow

Grade 7:
Mrs. Hickey: I’m sending this again because I’m not sure it went through. Students who took the last quiz on Friday, October 17th got it back today. All quizzes must be signed and returned. Those students who are interested in extra credit will receive it when the quiz is returned signed. We are studying Chapter 2, section 1- food chains and food webs. Reminder: The final research report is due Friday, October 24th. It is worth a quiz grade. Late reports will NOT be accepted. Some students have passed in the rough drafts early so that I could correct them before the final copy is turned in. Great planning! A look ahead: There will probably be a quiz on Tuesday, October 28th on Chapter 2, section 1. Another topic or section may be included depending on what we accomplish this week.

Mrs. Morrison: A - Book Report – all voc. exercises and sentences are due Thursday–flashcards are due Wed.; B – Book Report – all voc. exercises are due Thursday – flashcards are due Wed. – finish the noun worksheet; E and F – complete and review C2S1.

Ms. DiFruscio: Homework this week; (if not already completed in class); CHAPTER 2 SECTION 2 GUIDED READING DUE THURSDAY; FINISH MAP OF EGYPT BY FRIDAY.

Mrs. Husak: A – quiz tomorrow on sections 3.1-3.4 (students have reviewed for the past two days, sample problems are in their notebook) Complete page 108 # 9-28 all; B – page 754 # 16-36 even, page 755 # 54-61 all – Quiz tomorrow on sections 2.4-2.9 – Chapter 2 test next Tuesday; E – same as B; F – quiz was today - page 109 -110 # 70-82 all and finish your integer word problem including the solution.

Mrs. Weldon: All ELA Classes - Vocabulary: Due Thursday: note cards, sentences. Due Friday: All Exercises. Book Report due on Thursday, October 23.

Grade 6:
Mrs. Carminito: A Block: finish Practice 4-2 worksheet; quiz Thursday on order of operations; D Block: finish packet; quiz tomorrow on multiplying and dividing decimals; E Block: parts A and B of scientific notation worksheet; quiz Thursday on dividing decimals and scientific notation; F & G Blocks: chapter test and binder check Friday.

Mrs. Harrington: Due Wednesday—Complete the worksheet (!-5)—How Did It All Begin? The Origins of the Universe.

Mr. Pitella: Finish page 2 of the reading packet; final prep for tomorrow's fashion show.

Mrs. Reed Gr 6 Math Enrichment: Picture Dictionaries due tomorrow.

Mrs. White: Read 20 minutes; work on paragraphs; C Block paragraph due 10/22.
