Mrs. Lyon: To facilitate keyboarding practice for Computer6 students I have set up a private Google group for our classroom. The group gives the student access to links for keyboarding courses and games which will allow them to practice at home. To access this group your student must have an email address. If your student does not have an email address I will set one up in school using Gmail or Yahoo. You will be receiving a permission slip to allow your student to use their email in school.
Mrs. Fulton’s 6th grade classes should be filling out their 3 day Food Journals, including exercise and TV/Screen time. These will be due on Thursday day 4.
The bi-annual Georgetown Music Parents Auction is being held this year on Friday November 7, 6-11 PM at the Georgetown Club. Please come and support our active music program. There will be a silent and a live auction. If you would like to donate items to be auctioned or you have any questions about the aucition, please contact the Georgetown Music Parents at themusicauction@yahoo.com.

Mrs. Husak: A – finish multiplying and dividing integers worksheet - quiz any time this week on +, -, x, ÷ with integers; B & E – take advantage of earning 5 extra points on the chapter 2 test and studying at the same time by completing # 1—53 on pages 119-121; F – ant cracker box puzzle worksheet that practices the four operations using integers – quiz any time this week on +, -, x, ÷ with integers.
Mrs. Weldon: Vocabulary: Exercises, Note cards, and Sentences due Thursday (Test on Friday); Tree Unit: Reading Comprehension, Questions 1 and 2 from “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening,” by Robert Frost. Due Friday: Press three leaves (one from your favorite tree) and bring them to class on Friday.
Mrs. Girard: En mi mochila hay….you are make a collage (using pics from magazine, drawn or clipart or imported pics) of a backpack and use pics and label at least 5 items that are in your backpack. Be careful to copy the vocabulary accurately and use the appropriate definite article.
Ms. DiFruscio: Homework this week: Due Tuesday- finish Chapter 2 Section 3 Guided reading if not already completed in class; Due Thursday- Chapter 2 Section 4 review ( in book, end of Section 4- all questions, PQA except chart).
Mrs. Schauerman: MATH - Practice 3-6 worksheet # 1 - 28; SCIENCE - Complete the questions from today's activity on pesticides in the food chain.
Grade 6:
Mrs. Harrington: Due Tuesday—bring in a hard-boiled egg with the shell; Due Wednesday—complete the worksheet, “A Scale Model of Earth’s Interior.” Please be sure to include a sketch of your model on the back of the worksheet. We will have time in tomorrow’s class to complete the worksheet/lab if you’re unsure what to do. Please make an effort to work out your answers; Due Friday—Modeling—“Designing Your Earth Model Layers.”
