DANCE CLUB TRYOUTS will be held next Monday and Tuesday, March 2 and 3, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Be ready to perform a 30 second choreographed routine. All candidates must attend both practices.
There will be a Mandatory Preseason Baseball meeting on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 right after school in the café.
SPRING SPORTS SIGN-UPS are scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Coaches meetings from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., sign-ups in the café from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Forms are available on the table in front of the Main Office. Grade 6:
Mrs. Harrington: due wednesday—complete the “Freezer Straw” experiment at home. Step 1: Make a prediction of what will happen to a straw and plugs after you remove them from the freezer.Step 2: Materials: 1 straw, 2 small pieces of clay (plugs)Step 3: Procedure: take one end of your straw and plug it up with a piece of clay. Next, fill the straw with water and plug up the other end with the clay. Place the straw in the freezer overnight. The next morning take the straw out of the freezer and record what happened to the straw and plugs. Due: Wednesday—bring in a small amount of soil from your yard (if possible)
