Attention Parents: As a reminder to the earlier letter you received, there will be a Parent Information Night for parents of eighth grade students on Monday, December 1st, between 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm, in the GMHS Auditorium. There will be a multimedia presentation on the transitional process between middle school and high school, a student panel presentation composed of seniors, and a question and answer session with department heads in the cafeteria to conclude the evening.

Mrs. Bailey: Lesson 9 exercises are due on Friday this week. There is no test this week, and no vocabulary next week due to the holiday. We will study lesson 10 on the week after Thanksgiving…testing on lessons 9&10 on Friday, December 5th. Rough drafts of the persuasive essay are due for peer editing tomorrow, Wednesday, 11-19-08.

Mrs. Girard: No Homework.
Mrs. Hickey’s classes: There is no homework tonight but there will be homework tomorrow. We are starting out first “official” lab tomorrow. Students will examine seed dispersal over the next few days and write their first formal “lab report”. Students were given a lab report format sheet and we started writing the first part of the lab today. Tomorrow students will observe the seeds and form hypotheses about how they think the seeds will be dispersed- by wind, water, or attaching to animal fur. The homework that is assigned tomorrow will be related to the lab. Thursday’s homework will also be related to the lab report.
Ms. DiFruscio: E block only: Finish Chapter 3 vocab (page 103 all terms) if not completed in class. Please remember to SKIP 4 LINES AFTER THE DEFINITION OF EACH TERM so we can use this pager for an additional assignment.

Mrs. Harrington: Due: Wednesday—review/glance chapter one-section 4. For today’s assignment you will need to illustrate the picture on page 38 of your textbook. Draw, color, and label all parts of the picture on a blank sheet of paper.
Pre-folder check extended until Wednesday. Please be sure to have all your papers 1-20 in your folder. Any papers that I have or that you are using in your portfolio should have a blank paper in its place with the # and name of the assignment. You will need to write on the blank sheet that you have the assignment in your portfolio or it is the item(s) I am still reviewing.
