Updates and Homework for 10/1:

All Students:
Attention Parents: Georgetown PTA Bylaw Committee: We are looking for 2 to 4 volunteers to review the Georgetown PTA bylaws. This committee will meet no more than twice and will meet in October. If you are interested, please contact Robin O'Malley at either romalley13@comcast.net or 978-352-7614.

Mrs. Fulton’s 7th and 8th grade Foods Classes should review their “Recipe Math” (abbreviations, doubling, halving recipes, equivalents). They will all have completed a “pre-test” soon which they can use as a study guide.

DON'T FORGET: BRING IN SIGNED DANCE CONTRACTS IF YOUR HAVEN'T ALREADY! The Dance is THIS Friday from 6:30-9pm. Admission is $5 per person, Georgetown Middle School Students Only. Snacks and Refreshments will be available to purchase.

Grade 8:
Mrs. Bailey: All Lesson three exercises will be corrected tomorrow and pre-test will be administered. F block also is assigned to finish highlighting the important facts on the Julius Caesar worksheet. All books MUST be covered tomorrow or 10 points will be subtracted from your homework grade.

Mrs. Sheridan: G: Significant Digits worksheet; A, C, E, F Blocks: You are given two samples of pure copper. One has a mass of 20 grams and the other has a mass of 100 grams. COMPARE the two samples in terms of (a) volume, (b) mass, and (c) mass to volume ratio (or how dense is each object). (Note: This is a thinking question NOT a calculation!)

Mrs Reed: Ch 2 Assessment handout, both sides all problems. Work on Vocabulary dictionaries due on Friday. Chapter test on Friday.

Mrs. Rydbeck: A Block- Study for Chapter 2 test tomorrow; E Block- Worksheet 2-11 # 1-22; F and G Blocks- Study for Chapter 2 test tomorrow.

Grade 7:
THANK YOU TO THE GRADE 7 PARENTS WHO MADE OUR CAREER DAY SUCH A SUCCESS! TEACHERS AND STUDENTS ALIKE FOUND OUR SPEAKERS TO BE INFORMATIVE, ENTERTAINING, AND A GREAT WAY TO CONNECT THEIR CURRICULUM TO THE WORLD OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL.

Ms. DiFruscio: Homework due tomorrow; Finish Career Day evaluations and follow up assignment if not done in class today. Due Friday: Page 23, Q6 persuasive paragraph write.

Mrs. Morrison: A block – Voc. exercises are due tomorrow; Final draft of Bio Poem is due tomorrow; p.127 in Literature Bk. Check Comprehension questions #1, 3, 5 and Critical Thinking questions #1, 2, 3; B block – Finish the Voc exercises. Final draft Bio Poem is due tomorrow. E and F blocks – Finish the Follow up to Career Day. Study and review voc. and Guided Readings for Ch. 1; Study the map. Question 6 on p. 23 is due Friday.

Mrs. Husak: A & F – page 536 # 1-37 all – Ch 2 tests have been handed back and students are encouraged to come back either at lunch or after school to improve their grade by completing new problems. B & E – no homework – we need more discussion on section 2.2

Mrs. Schauerman: SCIENCE - Read pages 31 -38. MATH - Test corrections are due by tomorrow. Complete the D-7 worksheet, # 1-16

Mrs. Weldon: All ELA Classes: Due tomorrow: Vocabulary Lesson 3- exercises, note cards, and sentences. Due Friday: Prefix/suffix packet

Mrs. Reed: Reminder, progress reports are coming up. So if you owe me any signed projects or Picture dictionaries, get them to me by Friday.
