Updates and Homework for 9/17:

All Students:
From Mr. Kaminsky: Mum order can be picked up Sat. AM in front of the school. Candle orders are due next Friday 9/26 (checks to Georgetown Music Parents). Any band student interested in after-school lessons here at GMHS or at Penn Brook should contact Mr. Kaminski (x623, kaminski@georgetown.k12.ma.us). Students interested in after-school guitar lessons here at GMHS should also contact Mr. Kaminski

Grade 8:
Mongeau: Read and highlight “Julius Caesar” and answer questions 1-3 due tomorrow.

Mrs. Sheridan: Blocks: A, C: “What’s the Matter” worksheet. For each numbered paragraph, draw a sketch or write a description; answer questions on back, # 1-8. Blocks: E, F: in complete sentences, answer questions #1-3 from today’s lab. Block G: “Measuring Distance” ONE SIDE! Do not do other side.

Grade 7:
Hickey: study for the quiz on Friday. Chapter 1, section 1.

Mrs. Husak: A-page 73-74 # 2-30 evens – Quiz Friday on multiplying and dividing decimals and the properties of multiplication – Chapter 2 Test next Friday; B-page 47-48 #2-60 even – quiz Thursday on sections 1.5-1.9 – Chapter 1 Test next Wednesday; E-see B; F – page 515 # 21-36 all – Quiz tomorrow on multiplying and dividing decimals and the properties of multiplication – Chapter 2 Test next Friday.
*Reminder to all of my classes – The Chapter reviews (not the chapter tests) at the end of each chapter, if completed can earn you an extra 5 points on your chapter test if turned in on the day of the test.

Mrs. Weldon: ELA: All Classes: Vocabulary Lesson 1 due tomorrow, Test on Friday; Due Friday: Select a Coming of Age book for Book Report due on October 23, 2008; A and E -Blocks: Diary Entry (in Reading Response Journal) from the Point of View of Jing Mei, character in “Two Kinds”; B and F Blocks: Diary Entry (in Reading Response Journal) from the Point of View of Jing Mei’s mother in “Two Kinds.”
