Updates and Homework for 6/1:

All Students:
***Please remember to settle your lunch account - many students in the middle school have outstanding balances and students will no longer be allowed to charge a lunch starting June 1.

Grade 8:
Important Dates for Grade 8:
June 12th ~ All students will be going to New York/No classes
June 17th~ All students will be going to Cedardale/ No classes
June 22nd~ Award Ceremony B/C block
June 22nd Graduation at 3:30

Ms. Mongeau: Read pages 240-247 create chart on the "Roles of the President"

Ms. Bailey: Vocabulary 28 flash cards and 5Xeach….All students should be doing some reading in their book report books each night. Mobile book reports are due Wednesday, June 10th.
We will also be having a final exam in English on June 10th and 11th.

Mrs. Sheridan: A-Block only: Roller Coaster Lab due date has been changed to Wednesday, June 3rd.

Mrs. Girard: read “el pueblo de tontos” pages 184-185. Answer questions from Informate and Aplicación. In Aplicacion you are to write your own ending to the story. It should be a minimum of 5 good sentences.

Mrs. Reed: pg. 583 # 1- 49 all

Grade 7:
Schauerman: SCIENCE - Complete the Cells Review worksheet. MATH - B-block - page 339 #15 -20; E-block - Surface Area worksheet # 1-5.

Ms. DiFruscio: CURRENT EVENTS DUE TOMORROW. ROME EXTRA CREDIT DUE BY WED. See below -these choices were handed out at the start of May.

E.Quiz grade Read pages 311-316 “A Wild Goose Chase”. Answer questions 1-5 (question 5 should be 2 paragraphs)
F.Quiz grade Create an Informational Poster: Answer question 27 on page 367. Put the information you find into a chart on an informational poster.

Mrs. Weldon: Vocabulary Lesson 30 due on Thursday, Test on Friday. A-Block: Read Chapter 4-Answer questions #1-6 Call of the Wild; B-Block: Read Chapter 5-Answer questions All odd numbers Call of the Wild; E-Block: Read Chapter 4-Answer questions #1- 8 Call of the Wild; F-Block: Read Chapter 6-Answer questions #1-6 Call of the Wild.

Mrs. Hickey: Blocks A and B are to write the function of the parts of an animal cell. E and F blocks will have this for homework tomorrow. I also wanted people to think about which end-of-the-year project they would like to do- the biome project or animal project. An outline will be passed out tomorrow.

Mrs. Carminito: A Block: page 328-330 #1-30; quiz Friday; D & E Block: 9-3 worksheet; quiz Friday; F Block: 9-6 worksheet; quiz Friday; G Block: 9-7 worksheet; quiz Friday.

Mrs. White: Read 20 minutes and record in log; C Block finish questions; G Block signed log and worksheet.
