Updates and Homework for 3/25:

The Girls Basketball Banquet will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. All levels and their families are invited.

The Boys Basketball Banquet will be held on Monday, March 30, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Strength and Conditioning will be held on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:00 a.m., Wednesdays from 3:00 -4:00 p.m and 5:30-6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 noon

Grade 8:
Mrs. Rydbeck: A Block- Finish Worksheet Practice 9-2. E Block- Practice worksheet 9-5 and 9-6: Do it all; F Block- Get started with the Chap cumulative review questions; G Block- study for chap. 7 test tomorrow.

Ms. Bailey: Lesson 21 exercises are due for correction in all classes tomorrow.
Ten sentences using Lesson 21 words are due Friday and will be used as a quiz grade.
We are all progressing with the reading of our book “My Brother Sam is Dead.” Class discussions are going well.

Mrs. White: C Block vocabulary page due.

Mrs. Reed: Reteach & Practice 8-9 all

Mongeau: No homework!

Grade 7:
Mrs. Morrison: A – all voc assignments are due tomorrow; B – first draft of essay should be completed and final draft should be started; E and F – Study Ch. 5 Sections 2 and 4 – test on Fri.

Mrs. Weldon: All Classes: Vocabulary Lesson 21—all exercises and note cards due tomorrow; A Boy and a Man~ complete two center activities by tomorrow.

Grade 6:
Mrs. Harrington: Science Homework
Quiz date change--from Thursday (3/26) to Friday (3/27)
Tonight’s homework—study for Friday’s quiz using both study guides #’s 19 A+B
Extra Credit: Students can receive up to 40 points extra credit. Andover library will be hosting many events related to the Dust Bowl of the 1930’s beginning on April 1st. You can attend any of the events seen on the library’s website www.mhl.org/andoverreads (for each event signed by the librarian you will receive 10 bonus points) or you may like to read the poems about the times and challenges of the people in a novel “Out of the Dustbowl” by Karen Hesse. You will receive 10 points for a page of poetry related to your own community, and the kinds of solutions you think could be of help, or you can write a one page summary of Hesses’ novel.

Mrs. Lamoly: Blog—ELA- Study for vocab 7 Test on Friday…also…Change brainstorm for G and E block…and Change paragraph for A and D block.

Mrs. White: Read 20 minutes and record in log; D Block signed log, similes/metaphors, and paragraph; F& G blocks examples of personification and onomatopoeia.

Mrs. Reed: Finish picture dictionary due today if you did not pass it in. Finish menu if you did not finish for today.
