YEARBOOK MEETING: There will be a MS Yearbook Meeting on Wed after school in Ms. DiFruscio’s room from 2:20-3:15 this week.
Bye Bye Birdie rehearsals this week will be Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:30-4:30, for cast and crew. Please check your calendars to see if you have any additional rehearsals this week. Please See Mrs. Viera or Mrs. Laflamme with any questions about the schedule.
Important reminder on early dismissals: Any student who is going to be dismissed must turn in a note to the main office the morning of the dismissal. The note must be signed by a parent/guardian, and must state the time and specific reason for the dismissal. Dismissals via a phone call can only be accepted for emergency situations. All dismissals due to illness must go through the school nurse. Students must come down to the main office at the time of their dismissal and sign out.
Grade 8:
Mongeau: No homework!
Mrs. Bailey: This week we are studying the words in Lesson 14 and reviewing lesson 13 words. Tonight the students have to write out flashcards and complete 5X each for lesson 14. We will be reviewing both lessons each day and will have a two lesson test on this Friday.
We are also continuing our study of Achieving the American Dream and reading several selections on that theme.
Mrs. Sheridan: ALL BLOCKS: 1. SPOW: Food Web due tomorrowALL BLOCKS: 2. Use your study guide to review for the mid-term test on Thurs., Jan. 15th and Fri., Jan. 16th. Mrs. Girard: Split sheet for vocabulary pages 200-201. Students can expect a vocabulary quiz on Friday. Do worksheet 5-3 in packet #1. Also, all students must bring in 6 colored pencils or highlighters in six different colors. One should be red (or pink) and another should be blue. Students may choose the other 4 colors. They will need these for class over the next few weeks.
Grade 7:
Mrs. Hickey’s classes: students should be studying for the quiz on animal cells that will be given on Tuesday, January 13th. They have a study guide with definitions and a diagram to study from.
Ms. DiFruscio: Projects due on Wed. (this is an extension of the original due date from Tuesday.)
Long blocks tomorrow (e & f blocks) will be given ½ of class time to work on projects. Short blocks (A& will have entire class time)

Grade 6:

Mrs. Harrington: Due Tuesday—research booklets and models are due. Please, please, please put your name on both items!! Also, we will be needing lots of newspapers for the volcano eruptions which we plan on doing Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
***Final Integrated Subject Showcase—following lunch on Friday, students will be showcasing their earthquake and volcano models with their research. Later in the day, we will be broadcasting live (from the scene of their volcano/earthquake) in the auditorium. Also, students will include songs and folklore in highlighting all the hard work they did during the Inside Earth unit.
