Updates and Homework for 11/19:

All Students:
There will be a brief MS Yearbook Meeting tomorrow from 2:15-2:45 in DiFruscio’s room.

Grade 8:
Mrs. Mongeau: Comic Strip due tomorrow/Study guide given for test on Friday Chapter 10 sections 1 & 2.

Mrs. Sheridan: Wed., Nov 19: A, E, F – Finish vocab cards: solid, liquid, gas, plasma. Include relationship to shape, volume, particle arrangement, particle motion, and freedom of movement,
G – Research the internet to find an example of each: 1) plasma on Earth, 2) plasma in space, and 3) man-made plasma.
Tues., Nov 18: A – none; C, G – Finish vocab cards; E – 3-2-1 Activity: 3 ways to measure the energy of particles ; 2 examples of each; 1 reason why we need to know about the energy of particles; F - none.

Mrs. Bailey: Students are working on Lesson 9 vocabulary exercises which are all due on Friday this week. Our rough drafts for the persuasive essay will be written and peer edited by Friday. Final drafts are due on Tuesday, 11-25. Science fiction book reports are due on December 1st. Time is being given for reading in school, but students also need to read at home in order to get this assignment finished on time.

Grade 7:
Schauerman: MATH - Reteach 4-1 & Practice 4-1 worksheets; SCIENCE - Bring in burs for our seed dispersal lab experiment for extra credit; All Students - We need donations for the Emmaus House Thanksgiving food drive!!

Mrs. Hickey’s classes: ALL classes: Page 59, questions 1-4. If the question says “name” or “list” the answer does not need to be in a complete sentence. Otherwise, complete sentences are required- no pronouns as subjects of the sentence. Today we worked on forming hypotheses for the lab experiment. Tomorrow we will test the seeds for their ability to be dispersed by wind and attachment to fur.

DiFruscio: A- Notes On 1 “Other” Part Of Chapter 3 Section 1; B- Notes On Assigned Part Of Chapter 3 Section 1; E- Bring In 1 Written Down Proverb; F- Notes On Assigned Part Of Chapter 3 Section 1.

Mrs. Husak: A- page 132 # 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 18, 20; B – page 168 # 2-24 e – Ch 3 Test Friday- extra 5 points if evens or odds are completed on pages 171-172; E – see B; F – worksheet 4-1 both sides.

Mrs. Weldon: All Vocabulary is due tomorrow-sentences, exercises, and Note cards; Parent signature on Record Sheet.

Grade 6:
Mrs. Harrington: Due Thursday - Complete the worksheet, “Sea-Floor Spreading.” Be sure to follow all directions. Reminder: Since we have not been seeing all the blocks each day I have extended pre-folder check for one more day (Thursday).

Mrs. White: Read 20 minutes; C & D Blocks-inference due 11/20; A & E Blocks work on sensory worksheet; Book order due 12/12.
