Mrs. Bailey: In all my classes students MUST have their literature books covered with a paper cover…NO BOOK SOCKS…by Monday. Points will be taken off homework grade if the book is not covered.
Grade 7:

Math Mrs. Husak: No Homework, however, please ask your child the following questions to allow them to explain what they learned in class today:
A & F – How big is a millimeter?(Hint: fingernail) How big is a centimeter?(Hint: pinky finger) How many millimeters are in one centimeter? How many meter sticks does it take to make 1 kilometer? About how big is a kilometer compared to a mile in our customary system? How do you change from unit of measure to another? (Hint: What mathematical operations did we make with our hands to change from a large unit of measure to a small?)
E – Explain in your own words the properties of multiplication and addition. (Commutative, Associative, Identity) Why do we use them and where could we use them (Hint: Milk, Bread, apples)?
B – On Monday this class will discuss what E block got to today. You can ask your child their grade on their Chapter 1 Test!
Schauerman: SCIENCE - Quiz on Section 1-2 on Tuesday; study your vocabulary words.
MATH - No homework; have a great weekend!
DiFruscio: No homework over the weekend- students do have work assigned for next week (due Tuesday and Thursday). Also- students were given the outline map of the Middle East to review for our Map Quiz scheduled for 10/8 & 9 (depending on class). Blank maps for practice can be downloaded off my website!
Mrs. Hickey-Grade 7 Science: the wildlife sanctuary in Topsfield was wonderful. We will be applying the information we learned about ecosystems in our classes. There is no homework over the weekend. Just a reminder: there is a quiz on Tuesday, September 30th. It will cover Chapter 1, section 2 and section 3 (some terms only). We are reviewing in class today. Extra credit for the last quiz will be available Monday for interested students (who had their last quiz signed as assigned). Points from completed extra credit activities will be applied directly to the quiz grade up to a 90%. Have a great weekend.
